Information we receive

When you contact Open Origin through this website, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide. When you join the launch list, we receive your email address and the page you signed up from. If you email us directly, we receive your email and any information included in it.

Our hosting and form-delivery providers may process technical information such as an IP address, browser information, and request logs to deliver and protect the service. Please do not include medical records, payment details, or other sensitive personal information in your message.

How we use it

We use inquiry information to respond to you, discuss a business inquiry, keep relevant correspondence, and protect the website from misuse. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails; only the launch list form does that, and only after you confirm.

We do not sell your personal information or use this website’s contact details for targeted advertising.

The launch list

The launch list is a marketing email list. When you enter your address, we send it to Klaviyo, our email service, which sends you a confirmation email. Your address only becomes active after you click the confirmation link. We use the list to send a small number of messages about Formula 01: the final label, the first lot’s test results, and availability. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Until our email service is connected, launch list signups are delivered to our inbox by the same route as contact-form messages and added to the list by hand. Either way, you can ask us to remove your address at any time at hello@openorigin.co.

Services that help us

The website is hosted on Vercel. Contact-form messages and, until our email service is connected, launch list signups are relayed to our Google-hosted inbox by an email delivery provider, either Resend or FormSubmit. Launch list addresses are stored by Klaviyo. These providers process information as needed to provide their services.

FormSubmit states that messages it relays are archived for 30 days. Messages delivered to our inbox may remain in our correspondence records for as long as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry and related business or legal obligations.

You can read the FormSubmit privacy policy (PDF), Vercel privacy notice, Resend privacy policy, Klaviyo privacy notice, and Google privacy policy for more information about their practices.

Cookies & measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not store personal information, and cannot identify you as an individual; visitors are counted with a hash that is discarded within a day. We have not added advertising pixels or tools that track visitors across unrelated websites. If that changes, this section will say so before it takes effect. Hosting providers may use technical storage or security measures needed to operate and protect their services.

The site does not change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal. We do not use the site for cross-site advertising tracking. The provider policies linked above describe their own practices, including practices on their separate services.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit a form, or contact us directly by email. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you have shared, email hello@openorigin.co. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when required for legal obligations or legitimate recordkeeping.

Privacy rights vary by location. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us so we can address it.

Updates & contact

We may update this policy as the website or our services change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice on this website explaining the change and its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before applying a new use to information already collected. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@openorigin.co.
